- Wes and Peggy were high school sweethearts. Mom waited the long dreadful two years for Dad to come home from serving his mission. He couldn't wait any longer to be engaged to his sweatheart so he asked Grandpa Elton to propose for him. Grandpa took Mom to dinner. Afterward at her house while sweating bullets he asked her to marry Dad. They were married after Dad came home in 1972. Rhett came along a year later starting the baby making era that ended with five boys and one lucky girl. Now there are five girls and six boys including the amazing inlaws. There are also six grandaughters and four gandsons. These grandkids are the cutest darn kids you'll ever see!
